Kyle Rittenhouse’s mom, Wendy Rittenhouse is blaming protesters and police in Kenosha, for her son killing two protesters in August.
Wendy Rittenhouse told the Chicago Tribune that the protesters shouldn’t have been in the streets protesting the shooting of Jacob Blake on the night they were shot by her son. She also said her son shouldn’t have been there either, but the cops weren’t doing their job.
“No one should have been there,” she said. “The protesters should not have been there also. My son should not have been there.”
Rittenhouse traveled across state lines to help militia groups ‘protect’ properties after protests erupted in Kenosha following the shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake in his back several times by white police officer Rusten Sheskey
Rittenhouse said the police should have been the ones protecting properties and businesses, not her son.
“The police should have helped the businesses out instead of having a 17-year-old kid helping him,” Wendy Rittenhouse said. “The police should have been involved with these people that lost their businesses. They should have stepped up. I’m not mad at the police. I’m not. They have a hard enough job as it is.”
According to the Chicago Tribune, she expressed little sympathy toward the families of the men her son shot and refused to talk about the gun her son used to kill two people and wounded a third.
