Leaked Kremlin memo tells Russian media it is "essential" to feature Tucker Carlson, report says.

The Kremlin reportedly sent a memo to Russian state media advising them to use more clips of Fox News host Tucker Carlson “as much as possible” as part of their propaganda to justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

According to Mother Jones, the memo titled “For Media and Commentators,” told state media that it is “essential” to use more of Carlson’s segments in their coverage because of his pro-Russia stance on the war in Ukraine.

“It is essential to use as much as possible fragments of broadcasts of the popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who sharply criticizes the actions of the United States [and] NATO, their negative role in unleashing the conflict in Ukraine, [and] the defiantly provocative behavior from the leadership of the Western countries and NATO towards the Russian Federation and towards President Putin, personally,” the document said.

According to Mother Jones, Carlson was the only Western journalist referenced in the memo.

The 12 page document was provided to the outlet by a contributor on Russian state TV who wished to remain anonymous. Metadata shows it was created at a Russian government agency called the Department of Information and Telecommunications Support.

According to Newsweek, Carlson has become a “regular feature” on Russian state TV amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

RT, a Russian state controlled international network regularly airs Carlson’s clips and portrays him as America’s voice of reason with significant influence over how the American people vote.
