Loomer slams Musk, pro-Trump tech allies as ‘technocrat welfare queens’

Laura Loomer referred to billionaire Elon Musk and other pro-Trump tech allies as “technocrats” and “welfare queens” amid the ongoing MAGA civil war over H-1B visas.

In an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, Loomer criticized the tech moguls who suddenly hold massive influence over President-elect Donald Trump.

“What we need is to have a conversation about is what is it going to mean for the future of our country, our national security and the incoming Trump administration,” Loomer said. “We have a bunch of technocrats who are also essentially welfare queens because their companies are receiving government subsidies and they want to take over our defense industry.”

Loomer continued: “You have a bunch of tech bros with billions of dollars and direct, unfettered access to the vice president and the president of the United States, and then they are also, you know, very cordial with our adversaries, as in China and Iran.”

“We see that Elon Musk is having these meetings off the books with Iranian officials, with Chinese officials,” she added. “What does that mean for us and the future of our constitutional republic?”

In recent days pro-Trump tech leaders, like Musk and his DOGE co-chair Vivek Ramaswamy, and MAGA loyalists are feuding over immigration.

Tech leaders voiced support for H-1B visas, which allow US companies to hire skilled workers from overseas. This puts them at odds with MAGA faithfuls who are demanding stricter immigration laws.

Amid the feud Musk mentioned Loomer in a post, writing: “Loomer is trolling for attention. Ignore.”

Hours later Loomer said X had demonetized her and revoked her blue verification checkmark after she began criticizing Musk over tech industry visas.

Several other prominent conservative accounts met the same fate for daring to criticize Musk on his platform.

Trump later sided with Musk and the tech bros over his MAGA loyalists in the feud over H-1B visas.

“I’ve always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That’s why we have them,” Trump told the New York Post in an interview..

“I have many H-1B visas on my properties,” Trump added. “I’ve been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It’s a great program.”
