Marjorie Taylor Greene clashes with reporter asking about Signal chat leak: “Go back to your country”

Republicans blame Greene for tanking border security bill.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) snapped at a British journalist on Wednesday who asked about Trump administration officials discussing classified war plans in a Signal group chat where a reporter was mistakenly added.

Greene took questions from the press after she led a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) subcommittee meeting in which she accused NPR and PBS of using federal funds to push left-wing propaganda.

But, things took a turn when Martha Kelner of U.K.-based Sky News asked Greene about the Signal chat leak.

Before Kelner could finish her question about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Greene interjected asking, “what country are you from?”

“The UK,” Kelner said.

“Okay, we don’t give a crap about your opinion and your reporting,” Greene said. “Why don’t you go back to your country where you have a major migrant problem. You should care about your own borders.”

Greene refused to answer the journalist who asked her “do you care about American lives being put at risk? About service members fighting for your country?”

“I don’t care about your fake news,” Greene responded before moving on to an “American journalist” who told her that he would like to hear her answer to the British journalist question.

“I’m not answering her question because I don’t care about her network,” Greene said.
