Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) says her daughters’ homes have been ‘swatted.’
“Both my daughter’s [sic] houses just got swatted today,” Greene wrote in a post on X/Twitter. “Big thanks to the police who responded! We appreciate you and support you! Whoever is doing this, you are going to get caught and it won’t be funny to you anymore,” and then tagged the FBI’s account.”
Swatting is the practice of making a false report to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.
Greene’s home in Georgia was swatted on Christmas Day.
“I was just swatted,” Greene wrote in a post on X/Twitter. “This is like the 8th time. On Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this. I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”
