Missouri pastor arrested for child molestation says he asked God for forgiveness and is a changed man.

A Missouri pastor was arrested on child molestation charges but claims he is a different person now since he asked God for forgiveness.

Virgil Marsh, 71, a pastor in Independence, Missouri was accused of sexually assaulting two children under the age of 14, between 2011 and 2018, according to local ABC affiliate KMBC.

In May, a woman told investigators that Marsh sexually assaulted her in 2011 while she stayed at his home overnight. Marsh allegedly got into a hot tub with her and inappropriately touch her. She also said Marsh groped and kissed her on the mouth and got into bed with her one night.

A second victim described a similar relationship with Marsh between 2016 and 2018, when she was under nine years old.

Marsh admitted to officers that he had “inappropriately touched” one of the victims and “potentially kissed” another victim on the mouth but denied sexually touching them.

Marsh was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree of child molestation and first-degree statutory sodomy.

According to the outlet, Marsh told officers he is no longer the man who “had previously done things to the victim,” because he prayed and asked God for forgiveness.
