Pro-choice protesters gather outside the homes of Justices Kavanaugh and Roberts.

Dozens of pro-choice protesters marched on the homes of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Chevy Chase, Md. after a leaked SCOTUS draft signalling the court’s intent to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion nationwide was leaked.

“You don’t get to take away my bodily autonomy and get enjoy your Saturday at home. You can do one or the other,” one protester outside Kavanaugh’s house told WUSA9.

The group chanted “My body! My choice!” and “No uterus, no opinion” while Montgomery County police officers stood guard.

Kavanaugh’s neighbor Lacie Wooten-Holway, a sexual assault survivor who has had an abortion, told the Washington Post that she has held candlelight vigils outside Kavanaugh’s house for months.

“I organize peaceful candlelit vigils in front of his house. … We’re about to get doomsday, so I’m not going to be civil to that man at all,” she said.

The protesters also made their way to the home of Chief Justice John Roberts where they chanted “the world is watching,” as DC Metro police officers stood guard.

According to The Post, some neighbors believe that the protests are disrespectful and disruptive while others say they are encouraged to see someone speaking out.

Protests are set to continue throughout the week in front of the Supreme Court and also in front of the opinion’s author, Justice Samuel Alito’s home.
