Former President Donald Trump was heckled by a protesters rose gathered in New York on Thursday on his way to Attorney General Letitia James’ office for a deposition.
Video shows protesters lining the street outside James’ office chanting “New York hates you” as Trump’s motorcade arrived.
Trump is being deposed in New York City as part of James’ $250 million civil lawsuit alleging widespread fraud by the former president and his company.
The suit also accuses Trump of repeatedly overstating the values of his assets in statements to banks, insurance companies and the IRS in order to obtain loan and better tax terms, according to CNBC.
Additionally, James wants to bar Trump’s companies from ever doing business in New York and permanently block Trump, and his three adult children from serving on the board of a company in the state.
