Podcaster Joe Rogan pressed Donald Trump for evidence of voter fraud in an otherwise friendly nearly three hour interview on Friday.
During the sitdown on Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast Trump repeated his debunked claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him prompting the host to ask for evidence.
“How do you think you were robbed?” Rogan asked in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
“That election was so crooked, it was the most crooked election,” Trump said.
“Ok, but give me some examples of how,” Rogan pressed.
“They were supposed to get legislative approval to do the things they did, and they didn’t get it in many case,” Trump said prompting Rogan to ask “what things?”
“Anything,” Trump answered adding, “like for extensions of the voting, for voting earlier. All this different things By law, they had to get legislative approvals. You don’t have to go any further than that.”
The Republican presidential nominee the went on to falsely claim that officials in Wisconsin “virtually admitted that the election was rigged, robbed, and stolen”.
“They wouldn’t give access in certain areas to the ballots because the ballots weren’t signed. They weren’t originals,” he added.
An investigation by the nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau in Wisconsin, ordered by the state’s GOP-controlled Legislature found no evidence of widespread fraud.
“Are you gonna present this ever?” Rogan asked Trump of this evidence he claims to have.
Trump then pivoted to talk about the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Trump and his allies have been falsely claiming that Democrats used the coronavirus pandemic to change voting procedures to prioritize mail voting so they could rig the election against him.
Of course, there is no evidence to support this claim and all their legal cases challenging the 2020 election were thrown out.
Trump has also been indicted on the federal and state level in Georgia over his efforts to overturn his 2020 presidential election loss, an effort that culminated in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol
