Rudy Giuliani hires attorneys who defended disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani hired two new attorneys that worked on the defense team for disgraced Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Forbes first reported that attorneys Arthur Aidala and Barry Kamins notified the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York that they were appearing on behalf of Giuliani, according to court filings.

The two attorneys were a part of Weinstein’s defense team before the movie mogul was found guilty of first-degree criminal sexual act and third-degree rape and sentenced to 23 years in prison, last February.

The attorneys are representing Giuliani in a federal probe into his dealings in Ukraine.

Authorities are investigating whether Giuliani illegally lobbied the Trump administration in 2019 on behalf of Ukrainian officials and oligarchs, who were allegedly helping him to dig up dirt on then-candidate Joe Biden.

The probe into Giuliani is heating up now that Donald Trump and his allies no longer control the Justice Department. Last month, FBI agents executed a search warrant and seized electronic devices from Giuliani’s home and office.

Giuliani has pushed back on the probe, casting it as a political hit job because he supports Donald Trump. He accused the Department of Justice of trying to “frame” him using the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
