Putin ally dies after falling from third-floor window.

Russian official dies after falling from third-floor window.

Another Russian official has died after falling from a window, according to Newsweek.

Vladimir Egorov, 46, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a member of the ruling United Russia party, was found dead Wednesday after falling from the third-floor window of a house on Kedrovaya Street in Tobolsk in the Tyumen Oblast, Russian Telegram channel Baza reported.

Russian state media have cited eyewitnesses who claim Egorov fell from a third-floor window. Another person told state media the Russian politician had “heart problems.”

Heart issues are usually the reason given as an explanation for the mysterious deaths of prominent Russians since the country invaded Ukraine.

An autopsy will be done to determine Egorov’s cause of death.

Egorov led the Committee on Land Relations and Forestry in the prominent oil town of Tobolsk from 2007 to 2014. He was sentenced to correctional labor in 2016 for failing to collect rent from businessmen for leasing municipal land. The charges were later dismissed.

He returned to politics and last year, Egorov became one of the wealthiest local deputies of Tobolsk, with his income amounting to 9.1 million rubles (about $100,500), according to Russian news outlet RBC.

Egorov leaves behind a wife and two children.

Other Putin allies, including Ravil Maganov, the chairman Lukoil, Russia’s second-largest oil producer, sausage tycoon Pavel Antov and Marina Yankina, a Russian defense official, have also died after falling from a window.

They were all suffering from heart problems.
