Sinema's fundraising plummets in fourth quarter.

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz) fundraising took a hit in the fourth quarter of last year.

Sinema raised just $595,000 in the final three months of 2023, according to campaign filings with the Federal Election Commission seen by Politico. That sum is down from $826,000 from the previous quarter.

During the fourth quarter, Sinema’s campaign spent $749,000 which means her campaign’s $10.6 million in cash on hand reduced slightly.

Sinema left the Democratic Party in December 2022, though she continues to caucus with it. She hasn’t announced whether she plans to seek re-election. If she does, it will set-up a three way race with Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego and likely Republican challenger, election denier, Kari Lake.

Sinema has until April 8 to file for re-election.

Sinema’s fourth quarter fundraising total is less than one-fifth Gallego’s haul. Lake meanwhile raised $2 million during the same time period, Politico noted.
