Police arrested a suspect in connection to three separate shootings at the Democratic campaign office in Tempe, Arizona.
Tempe police identified the suspect as Jeffrey Michael Kelly, 60. He has been charged with seven felony counts and three misdemeanor counts relating to the shootings, including terrorism and unlawful discharge.
Police say the three shootings took place on September 16, September 23 and October 6. The office had been struck by firearm rounds and BB gun pellets.
All three attacks occurred overnight when the office was closed and empty. There were no reports of any casualties. Still, Democrats closed the office after the third shooting.
Police say Kelly was also arrested in connection to the suspicious bags of white powder that were found hanging from several political signs lined with razor blades in Ahwatukee earlier on Tuesday
The signs were critical of Democrats with messages like “DEMS LIE,” “DEMS KILL JEWS” and “Never Harris,” referring to Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, according to AZ Family.
Possible charges regarding the bags of white powder have not been released.
