David Schoen an attorney on Donald Trump’s impeachment defense team argued on Friday that the never before seen Capitol riot footage that House impeachment managers presented on Wednesday was a violation of due process because lawyers for Trump never saw the footage.
But, a source familiar with House managers’ preparation and communication with Trump’s defense team told MSNBC that Schoen’s accusation is not true.
“Every piece of evidence, including new videos, were given to the defense team before the trial,” the person told MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace. “The trial rules required us giving them the videos”
