Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis also wrote a memo outlining how Pence could overturn the election.

Former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis barred from practicing law in Colorado for three years.

Another one of Donald Trump’s attorneys reportedly wrote a memo outlining how then-Vice-President Mike Pence could overturn the results of the election and keep Trump in power.

According to ABC News’ Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl, former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis reportedly wrote in a memo that Pence should send back the electoral college votes from six battleground states that Trump falsely claimed he won in the election and give state officials a deadline of “7pm eastern standard time on January 15th” to send back a new set of votes.

If the state missed the deadline then no votes from that state would be counted. This would results in a scenario where neither Biden nor Trump will have the 270 electoral votes needed to be declared president. This would mean “Congress shall vote by state delegation” according to Ellis, which she says would be favorable to Trump because Republicans control 26 state delegations.

After former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows sent Ellis’ memo to a Pence aide, John McEntee sent ANOTHER memo to Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, titled, “Jefferson used his position as VP to win,” showing how much pressure Pence was under from Trump’s inner circle to overturn the election.

In another interview with Karl, Trump downplayed the threat to Pence on Jan. 6 and defended his supporters chanting “hang Mike Pence.”
