Trump predicts the stock market will ‘crash worst than that of the Great Depression’ if he isn’t re-elected.

Donald Trump is once again predicting that the stock market will collapse if he is not re-elected in 2024.

In an all-caps post on his Truth Social platform, the former president insists that stocks are soaring because people expect him to win next year’s presidential election. If he loses, it will all come crashing down.

“THE STOCK MARKET IS ONLY HIGH BECAUSE PEOPLE, & INSTITUTIONS, BELIEVE & EXPECT ME TO WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024,” Trump wrote. “IF I DON’T WIN, IT IS MY PREDICTION THAT WE WILL HAVE A STOCK MARKET “CRASH” WORSE THAN THAT OF 1929 – A GREAT DEPRESSION!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump made a similar prediction during the 2020 presidential campaign when he claimed, “If Biden wins, you’re gonna have a stock market collapse the likes of which you’ve never had.”

The stock market in 2023 hit an all-time high, surpassing the previous record set in 2022.

Trump, who routinely praised stock market gains during his time in office, complained that soaring stocks only enrich the wealthy.

“The stock market is making rich people richer,” Trump told a crowd of his supporters at a campaign event in Reno, Nevada earlier this month, according to Reuters.
