Trump says he would build an ‘impenetrable dome’ over the US to protect against missile attacks.

Trump now claims he only took empty folders not the classified documents when he left the White House.

Former President Donald Trump said he would build an “impenetrable dome” over the US if re-elected as president, to protect the country from nuclear attacks in World War III.

In a video posted to his social media app, Truth Social, on Friday Trump said, “if you take a look right now, the ‘nuclear’ word is being mentioned all the time. This is a word you’re not allowed to use. It was never used during the Trump administration.”

The former one term president said that other countries are making nuclear threats “because they have no respect for our leadership” and this could trigger a third world war.

To be prepared for World War III, Trump said the US needs “unmatched technology and unrivalled strength,” which is why he promised to build “a state-of-the-art, next-generation missile defence shield, just as Israel is now protected by the Iron Dome,” if he is re-elected as president.

“America must have an impenetrable dome to protect our people,” Trump added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his allies are constantly making threats about using nuclear weapons in Ukraine if they are defeated on the battlefield.

“The defeat of a nuclear power in a conventional war may trigger a nuclear war. Nuclear powers have never lost major conflicts on which their fate depends,” former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who currently serves as deputy chairman of Putin’s security council, said in a post on Telegram, according to Reuters.

But their threats have not deterred the US and other NATO allies from supporting Ukraine in the conflict.

Trump has repeatedly said that if he was in the White House Putin would have never invaded Ukraine. On Thursday he claimed he could end the conflict in “24 hours.”
