Laura Loomer, a failed far-right GOP House candidate and staunch supporter of Donald Trump is suggesting that the deep state is controlling the weather in Iowa ahead of the caucuses on Monday to help Nikki Haley.
A dangerous Arctic blast is expected to move into the central US this weekend and lasts through early next week, according to CNN. Monday is expected to be the coldest January day for Iowa in at least five years, with wind chills as low as minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Local officials believe the weather will have a big impact on turnout in the caucuses.
Recent polling shows Trump with a commanding lead in the state but Haley has been gaining momentum and has surpassed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for second.
On Thursday, Loomer suggested that the ‘deep state’ is manipulating the weather in Iowa to help Haley defeat Trump in the first matchup in the GOP primary in 2024.
“Is the Deep State activating HAARP to disrupt the Iowa Caucus?” Loomer posted on X/Twitter. “We all know (Nikki Haley) has a lot of friends in the defense industry and Military industrial complex. She’s losing in Iowa, and now Iowa is set to get hit with a ONCE IN A DECADE blizzard as Donald Trump is set to dominate the Iowa Caucus. Is the Deep State using HAARP to rig the Iowa Caucus? Loomer’s post hot a community note that reads: “HAARP was the name of a military-run operation to study the upper atmosphere. It is now running as a part of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and never had the ability to create snow storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.”
