Trump attacks judge ahead of his family’s testimony in fraud case, tells him to ‘leave my children alone’

Trump warns judge ahead of his family's testimony in fraud case: 'Leave my children alone'

Donald Trump lashed out at the judge overseeing his fraud trial in New York on Wednesday and told him to leave his children alone ahead of his son Donald Trump Jr. testimony in the case.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump argued that the case should be dismissed.

“This Rigged Trial, brought by the Racist New York State A.G. Letitia James before Trump and developer Hating Judge, Arthur Engoron, which should have never been brought in that the so-called STAR WITNESS, SleazeBag Lawyer (for many people) Michael Cohen, admitted last week on the stand that he LIED,” Trump wrote. “Therefore, on that fact alone, this Fake Case should be dismissed.”

“There is no Victim (except me!),” Trump added. “Leave my children alone, Engoron. You are a disgrace to the legal profession!”

Trump’s attack on Judge Arthur Engoron comes amid the ongoing fraud trial brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Trump’s businesses and his two oldest sons.

Eric and Donald Trump Jr. are both executives at their father’s company and have been accused of helping him to inflate and deflate the value of his properties and assets in order to deceive banks and insurers.

Trump Jr. is set to take the stand Wednesday and Eric Thursday. Donald Trump is expected on the witness stand on Nov. 6.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, was dismissed from the case because the statue of limitations for the allegations against her had ran out. But Engoron ruled Friday that her dismissal from the case doesn’t mean she should not take the stand as she is a key participant in some events discussed in the case and remains financially and professionally linked with the family business, according to Newsweek.

Ivanka’s testimony is scheduled for Nov. 8.
