Trump's claim about cops preventing his supporters from showing up at courthouse gets brutal fact check.

Donald Trump was hit with a brutal fact check Tuesday after claiming that police had shutdown traffic around the Manhattan courthouse, where his criminal hush money trial is underway, preventing his supporters from showing up to support him.

Before heading into court Trump told reporters that police had shutdown traffic for blocks and there is so much security surrounding the courthouse that his supporters can’t get through to support him.

“We have more police presence here than anyone’s ever seen, for blocks you can’t get near this courthouse,” he said.

However, NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard posted a video from outside the courthouse showing traffic moving freely and just a single Trump supporter protesting.

“Trump just claimed that the police have shut down the streets around the courthouse for blocks & that his protesters can’t be here,” Hillyard wrote. “Just…not true. There is one pro-Trump person here & the main street along the courthouse is open to traffic.”

Trump is facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records tied to hush money paid to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign to cover-up his alleged extramarital affair.

Trump has denied the affair and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
