Melania made an appearance at Donald Trump’s Great American State Fair, just not the one you were expecting.

According to the Washington Post, a cow named ‘Melania’ greeted attendees on the opening day of the Trump-backed Freedom 250 event to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

The blond calf named in honor of the first lady was shipped in from West Virginia. She was joined by student Piper Stolipher, 15, who traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of the Future Farmers of America.

“We were trying to come up with patriotic names for the 250th year, and we came up with Melania, which is President Trump’s wife and my teacher thought that they had a similar hair color, so it just fit,” Stolipher told The Post. “I’m excited to see everybody and see all the cool buildings and everything because this is my first time ever coming to D.C.”

The Trump-backed ‘Freedom 250’ event has been going downhill since his supporters were seen fleeing his speech to kick off celebrations.

The Post reported that organizers are struggling to open gates on time as they battle power failures.

These electrical issues repeatedly shut down operations, including the centerpiece Ferris wheel, which organizers claim offers free rides with views of the mall, and caused ice cream to melt.

The weather is also uncooperative. Vanilla Ice’s performance on Friday was canceled as a billboard at the fair announced a “special weather statement,” warning attendees of a “severe thunderstorm approaching” and advising them to “take appropriate precautions” as conditions worsened.
