White House chief of staff Mark Meadows urged Americans to stay tuned after Trump met with a group of Republican members of the House on Monday.
Trump reportedly met with Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks who has floated the idea of challenging the electoral college votes on January 6. Also present at the meeting were Reps. Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Louie Gohmert, Andy Briggs, Scott Perry and newly elected QAnon supporter Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

Meadows said several members of Congress are prepared to fight back against what he says is “mounting evidence of voter fraud”.
As it became clearer that their legal challenges to the election results weren’t holding up in court and with less than a month left in the White House Trump has resorted to other means to try and overturned the election.
He has turned to a fringe group of advisers like conspiracy lawyer Sidney Powell and disgraced felon Michael Flynn to discuss dubious tactics to overturn the election, causing some in the White House to worry that he may abuse the powers of the presidency to try and overrule the will of the people.

One tactic raised by his allies on Capitol Hill is to challenge electoral votes in January during the joint session of Congress when they meet to tally electoral votes and certify Biden’s victory. Its unclear what they hope to accomplish by doing this since they don’t have the votes to seriously change the outcome of election.
