White House fumes over ‘ugly’ anti-Trump statue on display at the National Mall.

The White House lashed out at a massive statue erected on the National Mall mocking Donald Trump.

The 8-foot-tall sculpture featured the Statue of Liberty’s head being crushed by a large gold-colored thumbs-up, along with the wording “DICTATOR APPROVED,” according to the Washington Post.

The sculpture also highlighted quotes from authoritarian leaders praising Trump.

The quotes featured are from Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

The sculpture received bad reviews from the Trump White House.

“If these Democrat activists were living in a dictatorship, their eye-sore of a sculpture wouldn’t be sitting on the National Mall right now,” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told The Post. “In the United States of America you have the freedom to display your so-called ‘art,’ no matter how ugly it is.”

According to a permit for the installation, the sculpture was meant to be a rebuke of Trump’s military parade last weekend which he claims was a celebration of the Army’s 250th anniversary. The day also happened to be Trump’s 79th birthday.

The “dictator approved” artwork has a permit to remain on display at the National Mall until June 22.
