“Emotions running high among McConnell-aligned Republicans early Wednesday am — after reality of what transpired in Georgia settled in. May be the heat of the moment, but mood is for declaring war on Team Trump. Want to marginalize Trump as they marginalized Steve Bannon in 2017,” Josh Kraushaar, of the National Journal reported.
“The alternative, in their view?. Disastrous political outcomes in the near term, with R primary fights making the establishment-tea party fights of 2010-12 look like a picnic,” he added.

Democrats are on the cusp of regaining a majority in the Senate. Rev. Raphael Warnock has already defeated Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Jon Ossoff is leading incumbent Sen. David Perdue by over 16,000 votes with 98 percent of the vote in. The votes that are outstanding are from heavily Democratic areas that will likely extend Ossoff’s lead.
