In not one of the many explanations for his trip to Cancún did Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) mentioned that he brought his college roommate along for the visit.
According to Axios, Cruz invited his former roommate at Princeton and Harvard, David Panton to join his family vacation and he accepted. He extended the invitation after he planned the trip last Tuesday.
Cruz is trying to repair his public image after his Cancún trip in the middle of a deadly winter storm as his constituents struggled to survive.
