Fox News host says the company won't let him cover Dominion case.

Fox News host Howard Kurtz said on Sunday that the network will not allow him to cover the ongoing defamation lawsuit filed against Fox Corp by Dominion Voting Systems.

Kurtz said on his “MediaBuzz” show that executives at the company will not allow him to talk about the case even though he believes that he should cover it since it is a “major media story.”

“Some of you have been asking why I’m not covering the Dominion Voting Machines lawsuit against Fox involving the unproven claims of election fraud in 2020, and it’s absolutely a fair question,” Kurtz said, according to the Daily Beast.

“I believe I should be covering it. It’s a major media story, given my role here at Fox. But the company has decided that as part of the organization being sued, I can’t talk about it or write about it, at least for now. I strongly disagree with that decision, but as an employee, I have to abide by it,” he added.

Dominion is suing Fox News for $1.6 billion for allegedly defaming the company in the aftermath of the 2020 election by knowingly broadcasting lies about the company’s machines rigging the election in favor of Joe Biden.

A recent filing by Dominion Voting Systems show the network’s stars and executives privately dismissing the lies about the election as ‘”total BS,’ ‘crazy,’ ‘absurd,’ and ‘shockingly reckless’” but still invited guests on their shows to spread the lies to their viewers.
