Hunter Biden to plead guilty to tax related misdemeanors as part of a plea deal.

Jury finds Hunter Biden guilty.

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden will plead guilty to two federal misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes and and will enter a pretrial diversion agreement on one felony count of being a drug user in possession of a firearm, according to court filings.

As part of the deal the Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss reached with Hunter Biden, the Justice Department will recommend a sentence of probation for the two counts of failing to pay taxes in a timely matter for the years 2017 and 2018, according to CNN.

The felony gun possession charge will be resolved in a pretrial diversion agreement, where charges are dropped if certain conditions are met by the defendant, such as not committing a crime in a given time period.

“Hunter will take responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments when due pursuant to a plea agreement,” Biden’s attorney Chris Clark said. “A firearm charge, which will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement and will not be the subject of the plea agreement, will also be filed by the Government. I know Hunter believes it is important to take responsibility for these mistakes he made during a period of turmoil and addiction in his life. He looks forward to continuing his recovery and moving forward.”
