Lauren Boebert's gun-themed restaurant to be replaced by Mexican restaurant.

Rep. Lauren Boebert’s gun-themed restaurant in Rifle Colorado, Shooters Grill, will be replaced by a Mexican restaurant, according to Insider.

Boebert and her husband Jayson founded Shooters Grill in 2013. Patrons could order dishes with names relating to firearms such as the ‘M16 burrito’ and ‘bump stock corned beef hash’. These meals were served by armed staff members.

The restaurant closed in July because the building’s owner did not renew its lease, Boebert said in a tweet at the time.

Now, Insider reports Shooters Grill will be replaced by a Mexican restaurant called Tapatios Family Mexican Restaurant. There are “coming soon” signs on the front window of the premises and “TAPATIOS2 LLC” was also established at the same location as Boebert’s former restaurant in October.

Boebert is a very vocal advocate for stricter immigration laws and has repeatedly rebuked President Joe Biden for not doing more to secure the southern border by building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“Over 2.5 million illegal aliens have already crossed our Southern Border. That’s more people than live in Denver, Boston, and San Francisco combined. Close the southern border NOW!” Boebert tweeted in April

In May, she called for the Secretary of Homeland security Alejandro Mayorkas, to be impeached because under his leadership “millions of illegals including rapists, drug dealers, and criminals on the terrorist watch list have crossed the southern border.”
