Lauren Boebert’s son arrested for alleged theft, faces 22 charges.

Boebert's son tells court he can't afford a lawyer.

Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-Colo.) teenage son was arrested Tuesday and is facing 22 charges relating to a string of thefts in a town in Colorado’s 3rd district.

Tyler Boebert,18, was arrested after a “recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts” in Rifle, Colorado, the Rifle Police Department wrote in a statement on Facebook.

Boebert is facing four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, four counts of criminal possession of ID documents, and a count of conspiracy to commit a felony, according to jail records. He also faces four misdemeanor counts of ID theft, three misdemeanor counts of first-degree criminal trespass, and three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He’s also charged with three counts of the petty offense of theft of less than $300. No bond has been set for his release.

Another unflattering headline about Boebert’s family comes amid the congresswoman’s campaign for re-election in a new district.

Last year, Boebert announced she was leaving Colorado’s 3rd district to run for re-election in the state’s 4th district, citing her family troubles and “children’s future” in her announcement of the move.
