Nikki Haley’s home targeted in “swatting” incident.

Nikki Haley defeats Trump in DC GOP primary.

The home of Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was swatted last month, according to Reuters.

Police responded to Haley’s home in South Carolina on Dec. 30, after an unidentified man falsely reported he had shot a woman there and threatened to harm himself.

“It was determined to be a hoax…Nikki Haley is not on the island and her son is with her,” Craig Harris, Kiawah Island director of public safety said.

Swatting is the practice of making a false report to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.

Several high profile national figures have been targeted in swatting incidents in recent months including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), Special Counsel Jack Smith and U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over Trump’s election interference case in Washington, D.C.
