Trump still owes El Paso more than $500k for 2019 rally.

Donald Trump still owes the city of El Paso more than $500,000 for a rally he held there in 2019.

City officials are still waiting for the $569,204 payment for transportation and security they provided for Trump at the rally, three years later according to the Houston Chronicle. The city went as far as to hire a law firm to try to collect their money but so far $0 has been collected, a spokesperson said.

Trump held the rally in 2019 to compete with then-presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke after a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso left 22 people dead. The Chronicle noted that O’Rourke paid his tab.

The news comes as Trump is in South Texas this weekend rallying for Republican candidates in state and local races.
