President Joe Biden mocks Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) during his speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, suggesting the lawmaker is “confused.”
“I want everybody to have fun tonight but please be safe. If you find yourself disoriented or confused, it’s either you’re drunk or Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Biden said.
Greene has been criticized for making outlandish comments such as Jewish space lasers caused wildfires and schools shootings are staged. The congresswoman also repeatedly heckled Biden in the House chamber during his State of the Union address earlier this year.
Along with light hearted jabs at politicians and media figures, Biden also made fun of his age.
“Look, I get that age is a completely reasonable issue,” he said. “You might think I don’t like Rupert Murdoch. That’s simply not true. How can I dislike a guy who makes me look like Harry Styles?”
“Call me old, I call it being seasoned. You say I am ancient, I say I’m wise. You say I’m over the hill, Don Lemon would say, ‘That’s a man in his prime,’” Biden also said at the event referencing ageist and sexist comments former CNN anchor Don Lemon made about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley before he was fired from the network.
