Hacker obtained ‘damaging’ testimony about Matt Gaetz.

A hacker has reportedly obtained transcripts of “damaging” testimony against Matt Gaetz, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for attorney general.

The hacker, using the name ‘Altam Beezley,’ download the information on Monday from a secure document-sharing platform used by lawyers representing the claimants, according to The New York Times.

The hacked documents were part of a civil lawsuit filed by Florida businessman Christopher Dorworth, a former associate of Gaetz, against the women and Joel Greenberg, another ally of Gaetz who is serving an 11-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to federal sex trafficking charges.

The file contained 24 exhibits and is said to include unredacted testimony from a woman who said she had sex with Gaetz when she was 17, and testimony from another woman who said she witnessed the encounter.

The Times also reported that the documents includes sealed files from the Justice Department and House Ethics Committee.

The Justice Department ended their investigation of Gaetz last year without bringing any charges. The Ethics Committee has been investigating Gaetz since 2021 over allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, among other claims.

Gaetz has denied any wrongdoing.

The Florida lawmaker resigned from Congress last week after he was nominated by Trump for attorney general. His resignation came just days before the House Ethics Committee was set to vote on releasing their report.

The committee is facing mounting pressure to release the report from both sides of the aisle, including from Republican senators who will consider Gaetz’s nomination for attorney general next year.

The House Ethics Committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday to decide whether to release the Gaetz report.
