Rudy Giuliani revealed on Wednesday that he’s taking hydroxychloroquine prophylactically to prevent becoming infected with the coronavirus.
Giuliani was asked about his interview on Fox News on Monday when he coughed his way through while delivering an anti-mask rant in which he criticized Joe Biden for encouraging Americans to wear a mask.
Giuliani dismissed his coughing fit as just him clearing his throat before revealing that his most recent test came back negative.
“I am not that nervous about it,” Giuliani said on Bloomberg TV. “I know if it does happen, I know what to take. My doctor has provided hydroxychloroquine, which I’m taking every day.”
Giuliani was among several advisers who helped to prepare Donald Trump for his debate last week. Several members of the group have since tested positive for coronavirus, including Hope Hicks, Kellyanne Conway and Chris Christie.
“I feel very bad for them,” Giuliani said. “I almost feel a little guilty.”
