Trump retweets claim that Georgia's Republican officials are "going to jail"

Donald Trump on Tuesday retweeted Lin Wood, a Georgia based attorney who claimed that the state’s Republican Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger will be imprisoned for not helping Trump to overturn the election in the state.

“President Trump @realDonaldTrump is a genuinely good man. He does not really like to fire people. I bet he dislikes putting people in jail, especially ‘Republicans,'” Wood tweeted. “He gave @BrianKempGA & @GaSecofState every chance to get it right. They refused. They will soon be going to jail.”

Wood also photoshopped face coverings on the two Republican officials’ face and lapel pins with the Chinese flag.

Trump lost the state in the November elections and since then he has been claiming, without evidence, that the election in the state was rife with fraud and pressuring the Republican governor and the state legislature to overspent the will of the will and appoint their own electors. All their challenges legal and illegal have failed. Electors voted to officially give the states 16 electoral college votes to President-elect Biden on Monday.
