Fox News anchor calls breaching the US Capitol "a huge victory" for the rioters.

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum considers it to be a huge victory that supporters of Donald Trump were able to storm the US Capitol and disrupt the process to certify Electoral College votes.

“I was under the assumption they [lawmakers] would be safe in the chamber, that was before we realized people had breached the building and were walking through the rotunda,” she said.

“This is a huge victory for these protesters. They have disrupted the system in an enormous way!” she added.

The Trump mob was able to halt the certification of Electoral College votes as lawmakers were told to evacuate the floor, which was later taken over by the rioters.

“We are witnessing something that is just beyond our comprehension as Americans,” MacCallum added. “You know, one of the men on the street said this is the people’s house. And absolutely it is. But it is not a place where you can break windows and storm hallways and overwhelm police officers.”

Thousands of Donald Trump supporters were in Washington on Wednesday for a ‘Stop the Steal’ rally to show their support for Trump and his false claims of widespread voter fraud as lawmakers meet to certify Biden’s victory in Congress.

Trump told his supporters at the rally that they were going to march to the Capitol adding “we will never take back our country with weakness.”
