Donald Trump said on Sunday that ‘Meet the Press’ host Kristen Welker will be reported to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) led by Trump’s sycophantic chair Brendan Carr.

In a post on his social media app, Trump said he will report Welker to the FCC for acknowledging that some of the candidates he backed in the GOP primary lost.

“Kristen Welker, the Unpopular ‘Hostess’ of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has ‘mixed results’ on his Endorsements of Candidates, when the recent WINS of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei, stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate, and 98% for the U.S. House, recently and over the longterm,” Trump wrote on Sunday.

“How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves? Results are attached. Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment.”

Trump then called on Carr to act.

“The Press is a Disgrace to our Nation, and I hope that Chairman Brendan Carr, and the fine people of his Commission, will take this Threat to our Country very seriously.”

While Trump once enjoyed a near-perfect record of endorsing winners in Republican primaries, his grip on the Republican Party slipped this summer after a string of defeats in GOP primaries nationwide.

His picks for governor in four states failed to win the nomination, including election denier Mike Lindell in Minnesota. Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) lost his reelection bid to TV anchor Ryan Elijah. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) lost his own primary to former Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Hatcher. Michigan’s Amir Hassan also lost his Republican primary even with a Trump endorsement.

This is not the first time Trump has attacked Welker. In June, he stormed out of a ‘Meet the Press’ interview after she pressed him on false claims of election fraud in the California primary elections.

Trump’s most recent rant over Welker’s coverage comes amid Disney and ABC suing the FCC last week, arguing that the Trump administration is attempting to censor journalists by urging the agency to conduct an early review of ABC’s broadcasting licenses.
