Longshot presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr said a staffer is responsible after his official campaign account left a comment on a TikTok video of an OnlyFans model.
The comment was revealed on Wednesday when an X/Twitter user posted a screen recording showing Kennedy’s official account commenting, “Wow, [heart-eyes emoji] [heart-eyes emoji]” on a video an OnlyFans model had posted in 2022.
“Since @RobertKennedyJr wants to run his mouth, perhaps he can explain why he was on TikTok liking thirst traps while married,” the X/Twitter user wrote.
On Thursday, RFK Jr., a scion of the Kennedy political family, explained why it appeared his official campaign TikTok account was leaving thirsty comments on an OnlyFans model’s video.
“Do people really think I was TikToking in 2022?” he wrote on X/Twitter. “The TikTok comment in question was made in 2022 long before I ever had a TikTok account. This comment now appears on my account because the account was previously owned by one of the campaign’s young social media managers.”
“When I announced my run for the presidency in April of 2023 the team wanted it broadcasted on every social media platform, including TikTok,” Kennedy added. “However, TikTok does not allow live streaming for accounts that have less than 1,000 followers. The social media manager decided to transfer his account, which had around 1,500 followers, to me in order to stream my announcement on TikTok.”
