RFK Jr campaign fires official who says her ‘No. 1 priority’ is preventing a Biden victory.

The campaign of independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr, has fired Rita Palma, a staffer who said defeating President Joe Biden is her “number 1 priority.”

“We terminated her contract for misrepresentation immediately upon seeing the longer video in which she gave an inaccurate job title and described a conversation that did not happen,” RFK Jr.’s campaign manager and daughter-in-law Amaryllis Fox said in a statement on X/Twitter Wednesday.

Palma confirmed she was let go by the campaign in a statement to NBC News.

She said her time with RFK Jr.’s campaign “has been one of the best political adventures of my life filled with some of the finest people I’ve encountered, and I have encountered many.”

“I hold no ill will and look forward to the next seven months of watching Bobby shine,” Palma added.

Palma, RFK Jr’s campaign state director in New York, was fired days after a video of her preparation to New York Republicans went viral.

In the video, Palma called President Biden the “mutual enemy” of Trump and Kennedy voters and said it was her “No. 1 priority” for Biden to lose the election.

She also outlined a strategy to get Trump elected by making sure RFK Jr is on the ballot in every state, especially in traditionally blue states like New York and urge Republicans to back him considering that Trump is never going to win these states.

If enough Democrats vote for RFK Jr with Republicans, Palma predicted he could win some of these traditionally blue states which would create a scenario where no candidate reaches 270 electoral votes.

Under that scenario, state delegations in Congress would vote to determine the outcome of the election.

“Who are they going to pick? If it’s a Republican Congress, they’ll pick Trump,” Palma said. “So we’re rid of Biden either way.”

“We’re all on the same team right now, and we’ll be on the same team later, as long as Trump or Kennedy wins,” she added.

CNN also reported earlier this week that Palma was present at Trump’s ‘Stop the Steal’ rally that preceded the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6 and has also unearthed past social media comments of Palma calling Trump her “favorite president” and suggesting that he should run for a third term.
