Rudy Giuliani’s daughter endorses Kamala Harris.

Giuliani makes racist attack on judge overseeing Trump's hush money trial

The daughter of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) has endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris for president.

“From reproductive rights and the economy, to foreign and environmental policy, we need experienced, sane, and fundamentally decent leaders who will fight for us instead of against us—who will safeguard our democracy rather than dismantle it,” Caroline Giuliani wrote in Vanity Fair

“And as a recently engaged-to-be-married, 35-year-old who hopes to feel more joyous than fearful about the potential of becoming a parent myself, I need to advocate for a future worth bringing children into, which is why I am voicing my adamant support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” she continued.

Giuliani said in the article that she has witnessed first-hand how “many of those closest to Trump have descended into catastrophic downward spirals.”

“If we let Trump back into the driver’s seat this fall, our country will be no exception,” she wrote.

Guiliani’s endorsement of Harris comes days after her father was disbarred in Washington, D.C. due to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. He is also disbarred in New York for the same reason.

The former mayor also faces several other legal issues related to his efforts to overturn the election. In Georgia, a judge ordered that he pay  $146 million in damages to two Georgia election workers–Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss–for defaming them.

Giuliani filed for bankruptcy after the ruling, but a judge threw out the case in July.

The ruling means that Giuliani creditors can now pursue other legal remedies to recoup at least some of the money they’re owed, such as getting a court order to seize his assets.

“Nothing I have experienced prepared me for the very public and relentless implosion of my father’s life,” Giuliani’s daughter wrote about his fall from grace.

“I spent a lot of my life wishing my father had less power. But I never wanted it to happen like this. And selfishly, the deeper my dad gets stuck in the quicksand of his problems, the more fleeting our opportunities to connect as father and daughter become,” she added.

“After months of feeling the type of sorrow that comes from the death of a loved one, it dawned on me that I’ve been grieving the loss of my dad to Trump,” Giuliani continued. “I cannot bear to lose our country to him too.”
