A Wisconsin brewery announces plans to sell beer at half price when former Republican Senate leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) dies.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, Minocqua Brewing Company blamed McConnell for “about half of all America’s current problems” and announced the campaign to celebrate his death with the massive discount.

“Well, folks, if our logic is right, we’re supposed to get the news today that ‘Rigor Tortoise’ kicked the bucket about two months ago,” the brewery said.

“Why today? Because so-called ‘Establishment Democratic Hero’ and modern day gutless member of the do-nothing opposition party — Governor Andy Beshear — failed to call a special election to replace the ‘ghost from Kentucky’ before August 3rd — which means by Kentucky law, the seat will go unfilled until January.”

“When they announce that McConnell’s Faustian dance has finally ended, we’re gonna start serving our beer at ‘half price,’ because we promised #halfpricebeerday on the day they unplug the ventilator,” the brewery continued.

The brewery is also selling merch featuring a photo of McConnell in a Weekend at Bernie’s-esque scene with Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) propping him up.

McConnell, 84, was rushed to the hospital on June 14 after he was found unconscious at his home. He later revealed that he lost consciousness after a fall.

Gov. Beshear (D) sent a letter last week demanding that McConnell verbally address the people of Kentucky and prove he can serve or resign.

“It has now been 43 days since news of your hospitalization,” Beshear wrote to McConnell. “During that time you have cast zero votes, engaged in no official activities, and aside from two photos and corresponding statements, have made no effort to communicate with your Kentucky constituents or the nation. Even the attending physician’s written statement does not discuss your actual condition, including whether you can speak, reason, or carry out your duties as a senator.”

In the post, the brewery urged patrons to wear its #halfpricebeerday merch, adding that “#freebeerday has already been reserved for someone much more special.”

The brewery previously announced its free beer day promotion for when Trump dies.

The establishment’s owner, progressive activist Kirk Bangstad, was interviewed by the FBI and Secret Service earlier this year over a post he made on social media following the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“Well, we almost got #freebeerday. Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know,” he reportedly wrote.

Minocqua Brewing Company promotions come as it is currently fighting after its alcohol permit was revoked.

According to PEOPLE, Wisconsin’s Department of Revenue notified Bangstad that the license will be revoked after a raid on the brewery in June, during which state officials confiscated beer based on allegations that it was moved across state lines without necessary permits.

In response, Bangstad reportedly called the alleged violations “laughable” and accused Wisconsin officials of trying to shut down the state’s “most progressive brewery.” Bangstad vowed to challenge the state’s actions, describing them as “heavy-handed.”

“We’re going to fight the state of Wisconsin tooth and nail,” Bangstad wrote on Substack, adding that officials would have to “pry me out of my taprooms before I stopped selling beer to thirsty progressives who come to visit us.”
