Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in the November elections on Tuesday. Donald Trump is yet to acknowledge Biden’s victory which brings us to this disturbing realization–the President of Russia accepted the results of the US election before the President of the United States.

While world leaders were congratulating Biden in the days after the November 3 election, Putin held back saying he was waiting for the official results of the election before commenting on its outcome.
It appears that the electoral college vote on Monday was that moment.
“For my part, I am ready for interaction and contact with you,” the Kremlin said in a statement according to Reuters. “Putin wished the president-elect every success and expressed confidence that Russia and the United States, which have a special responsibility for global security and stability, could, despite their differences, really help to solve the many problems and challenges facing the world.”

Donald Trump, the President of the United States remains the last major global leader to not accept the outcome of the November 3 election.
