Donald Trump was loudly booed at the World Cup final trophy presentation ceremony on Sunday.

Spain defeated reigning champion Argentina 1-0 in the 2026 final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Trump walked onto the field to present the World Cup trophy to Spain alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino following the match. The crowd booed both men.

Trump presented Spain with the World Cup trophy and attempted to stand with the team at the side of the podium as they celebrated before Infantino quietly ushered him away.

It was the second time Trump was booed during the finals.

Trump received a cold reception when he was shown on the big screen following the National Anthem.

He was seated in a suite behind thick glass with Infantino, Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, administration officials, and family.
