Former Harris aide says Baier ‘pulled questions straight out of a Trump/Vance press release’

Symone Sanders Townsend, a former spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris, slammed Fox News Bret Baier over his interview with the Democratic presidential nominee on Wednesday, saying that his questions appear to be written by the Trump campaign.

“I have sat in the room for a number of interviews with VP Harris and they have been tough. I’ve never witnessed what I witnessed tonight though,” Townsend wrote in a post on X.

“The interviewer wasn’t themselves – instead he was rude, misleading and pulled questions straight out of a proverbial Trump/Vance press release.”

“The best part is, VP’s response was simply to match his energy, stick to her why of the interview and not take the bait,” she continued. “This is what a President would do.”

Harris’ interview with Baier was combative from the start when they clashed over immigration.

The sit down also included several exchanges in which Harris and Baier repeatedly spoke over each other.

At one point Harris told him, “You have to let me finish.”
