Barricades go up near Manhattan criminal court ahead of Trump's possible indictment.

Police in New York City erected barricades outside the Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday ahead of a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Trump is under investigation by Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, for alleged hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election.

Trump announced over the weekend that he expects to be arrested Tuesday and called in his supporters to “protest, take our nation back!”

According to NBC News, several agencies, including the NYPD, New York State Court Officers, the Secret Service, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, are discussing security plans in and around the Manhattan Criminal Court if Trump must travel to New York to face charges in connection with the investigation.

On Monday, CBS reporter Robert Costa shared footage of the NYPD unloading steel barricades around the courthouse.

CNN also reported that officers installed security cameras on light posts outside the court house.

Trump’s comments sparked concerns that he is inciting his supporters to violence like he did before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Bragg reportedly told his staff in an email over the weekend that his office will “not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York,” according to Politico.

Bragg also said his office is coordinating with the New York City Police Department and the court to “ensure that any specific or credible threats against the office will be fully investigated and that the proper safeguards are in place so all 1,600 of us have a secure work environment.”
