New York man arrested after telling a woman on a dating site that he stormed the Capitol.

A Capitol rioter was arrested on Thursday after he bragged about storming the Capitol on social media and on a dating site with a women he matched with, prosecutors say.

Robert Chapman, a resident of New York was arrested after the FBI was provided with information regarding his social media posts in the days after the riot. He also told a woman he had matched with on the dating app Bumble that “I did storm the capitol” and that he “made it all the way into Statuary Hall,” according to NBC New York. She was not impressed and told Chapman that they are not a match.



The FBI was also provided with social media posts including one in which another Facebook user posted a photo of Chapman in the Capitol with the caption “My Dear friend and Brostar Robert made it in the Capitol building at the protest yesterday ….Woo Hooooooooo!!!!”



Another user named ‘Robert Erick” who investigators believe to be Chapman responded in the comments with “these are your peers? colleagues? they are a bunch of little bitch trolls. keyboard warriors who don’t do a fucking thing.”

Bodycam footage from the Metropolitan PD also shows Chapman in Statutory Hall.

He has been charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct on restricted government property.
