Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville tore into the six conservative justices on the Supreme Court after a ruling this week weakening the Voting Rights Act.

In a 6-3 ruling on Wednesday, the conservative majority on the United States Supreme Court hollowed out the landmark 1965 law that has prevented discrimination against minorities at the ballot box and helped to elect thousands of Black and Hispanic representatives for nearly six decades, especially in the South.

On Friday, Carville joined the chorus of Democrats condemning the ruling and blasted the conservative justices as “corrupt sons of bitches” only interested in helping Republicans.

“These sons of bitches were so political, so happy to help the Republican Party any way they could they wrote a convoluted decision that legal scholars are still trying to wander through to think, ‘What the f–k was the rationale for this?’” Carville said during a podcast episode on “Politicon,” adding that the court is “corrupt.”

“There is no reason, none, that you should have any respect or any admiration for this pack of people who take money from anybody, don’t report anything, are the only nine people in the entire f–king federal government that operate under no ethics rule,” he continued.

The Supreme Court is facing backlash over its lack of ethics standards, as justices and their families accept luxury gifts and vacations from wealthy, often conservative donors, some of whom had business before the court.

Justice Clarence Thomas went on previously unreported vacations paid for by billionaire and GOP mega-donor Harlan Crow and flew on Crow’s private jet. Thomas also took a yacht trip to New York City sponsored by Crow. An investigation by Senate Democrats revealed that the conservative justice took more than two dozen luxury travel trips and gifts from wealthy benefactors.

Similarly, two wealthy Republican donors paid for a luxury fishing trip for Justie Samuel Alito, which he did not disclose in his financial report.

The New York Times reported that the wife of Chief Justice John Roberts, Jane Sullivan Roberts,  worked as a recruiter for law firms, some of which had business before the Supreme Court.
