Harris has big lead over Trump among early voters, polls show.

Vice-President Kamala Harris has a significant lead over Donald Trump among voters who have already cast their ballots, according to polls.

The Democratic presidential nominee has an advantage of between 19 and 29 percentage points over Trump, New York Times-Siena CollegeCNNABC News-Ipsos polls show

The lead is not as big as Joe Biden’s among early voters in 2020 when Trump discouraged his voters from casting a ballot ahead of election day. But, Harris is doing much better than Hillary Clinton in 2016 when she was ahead of Trump in early votes by eight and 16 points.

Polls from CNN, Fox News, Marist Poll and US Today/Suffolk University, also shows Harris leading among early voters in all but one of the crucial swing states.

The polls show Harris leading Trump in early voting across Arizona (between nine and 12 percent), Georgia (between seven and 10 percent), Michigan (between 26 and 39 percent), North Carolina (between two and six percent), Pennsylvania (between 17 and 35 percent) and Wisconsin (between 22 and 60 percent), according to an analysis by The Independent.

Only in Nevada does the CNN poll show Trump with an advantage over Harris in early voting. The former president leads Harris by six points.

Still experts warn that the early voting numbers isn’t an accurate representation of how the election will turn out.

“Early voting totals don’t tell us anything about who’s winning, and people should be extremely wary of claims that one side, or the other, is pulling away with this race,” David Becker, who runs the Center for Election Innovation and Research, told CNN.

“We don’t know if these are people who would’ve voted anyway on Election Day or if they are new voters'” he continued. “We don’t know if this is a net plus for either side.”

A record breaking 66 million Americans have already cast their ballots, including 15 million in swing states.
