Donald Trump is reportedly weighing granting clemency to disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Combs is just one of the 250 pardons Trump is considering to mark America’s 250th birthday. Trump is also weighing pardons for several people convicted of emissions and clean air-related violations, sources told CBS News. He will reportedly meet with advisors at the White House on Friday afternoon to make a final decision on the pardons.

Combs was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last year and acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering. He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence in the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Trump said last year that he knew Combs and that the rapper “used to really like” him, but they drifted apart after Trump entered politics.

“I haven’t seen him. I haven’t spoken to him in years,” Trump said. “He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, that relationship busted up, from what I read.”

Combs is currently appealing his conviction and sentence. In January, Trump told the New York Times that the disgraced rapper had written a letter to him to ask for a pardon, but said he was not considering granting the alleged request.

But, on Friday, a White House official did not deny that Trump is weighing a pardon for Diddy, telling CBS, “President Trump is the ultimate decider on any clemency-related actions.”

Trump has granted clemency to several prominent rappers across his terms in office, most recently pardoning NBA YoungBoy in May 2025 on weapons and prescription fraud charges. He also issued a full pardon to Lil Wayne and commuted the sentence of Kodak Black on federal firearms convictions in his first term.
