Trump draws tens of supporters to Manhattan courthouse for start of hush money trial.

Trump found guilty on all 34 counts in hush money trial.

Tens of people who support former President Donald Trump showed up on Monday outside the Manhattan courthouse for the start of his first criminal trial.

According to reporters outside the courthouse, about 50 Trump supporters were present and they were outnumbered by the press.

“Trump supporter crowd outside the courthouse is outnumbered by the news media. Best dressed here. Guy dressed as Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas and when I responded, ‘World peace,’ he qualified, ‘Something reasonable,'” according to Politico reporter Emily Ngo.

Among the pro-Trump crowd of dozens were familiar far-right faces including conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer and Andrew Giuliani, the son of former Trump attorney and disgraced former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

“If anybody is committing election interference it is these corrupt communists,” Loomer said before leading the small crowd in a chant of “Fire Tish James, fire Alvin Bragg,” according to the Daily Beast.

At least one Trump supporter was disappointed by the turnout. She told the Daily Beast: “I thought more people would be here. When they do finally take our freedom of speech away and screw us over, nobody better say anything about it. Shut up, you didn’t fight for your rights.”

Meanwhile, inside the courtroom Trump was falling asleep on the first day of his criminal trial where he faces 34 criminal counts of allegedly falsifying business records to cover up hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
